The network talk show Red Table Talk announced the launch of a new series called Red Table Talk: The Estefans that will be hosted by Gloria Estefan, her daughter, Emily, and her niece Lili.
The director of programming development for the Facebook Watch platform, Mina Lefevre, told the Deadline website that the program "is a brilliant example of how content, community and conversation come together" on various topics of interest.
Actress Jada Pinket Smith, one of the producers and hosts of the original space, expressed being excited and proud to build a franchise in which honest conversations reign - and at the same time it is a space that seeks to heal those who are part of them.
“I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with these three phenomenal women! I am so happy,”wrote the also wife of actor Will Smith on her Instagram account.
The Red Table Talk: The Estefans program will be recorded in Miami and will continue in the same format as the original. In it, the Estefan family and their guests will discuss topics ranging from sexuality and work, to families and trauma, among others. It will air this year, but the release date has yet to be revealed.
Red Table Talk, for its part, reached an agreement with the Facebook company that extends the broadcast of the talk show until 2022.
