Viral Video Captures Strange Harry Potter Elf-like Creature

A video posted on Facebook by has gone viral since no one knows "what the hell" was captured by a security camera.

Vivian Gomez, from Colorado, posted the clip showing a small figure wandering around the neighborhood. In the video, a scrawny figure with shaky legs and drooping ears is seen jumping happily on a platform.

"I woke up on Sunday morning and I saw this on my camera and I'm trying to find out … what the hell?" Gomez captioned the security images in black and white. “First I saw the shadow walking through the door of my house, then I saw this… has anyone else seen this on their cameras? The other two cameras didn't detect it for some reason."

The video has received more than 9 million views since it was first published on Thursday. Naturally, on social networks users have shared theories about the origins of the mysterious creature.

Some think that it is not so rare and have compared it to the creature from the movie ET On the other hand, others compare it to Dobby, the elf character in the Harry Potter series.

Others joked about the creatures' mysterious movements, saying he "danced like a chicken," or "looks like a drunk guy."

However, while some suspect that the video may have been tampered with, others fear the possibility that unknown creatures exist.

But Gomez insists that it is real. "If someone tries it or whatever it is they would confirm that it is not altered," he wrote in a comment.

While we haven't been able to definitively determine what this video shows, the footage is likely to show a little boy dancing.
