Justin Bieber has not yet received his Latin Grammy for the song "Despacito", which he will perform alongside Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
Why hasn't the golden statuette gotten into your hands yet? This, because the Latin Gammy that the Canadian singer will win along with the Puerto Rican performers is with Carlos Escalona Cruz, who is a music producer for Marc Anthony. Escalona Cruz was the producer of the album "Marc Anthony for Babies", which also won a Latin Grammy, but in another category.
However, Bieber's award is the product of his triumph in the last edition of the Latin Grammy or Latin Grammy Awards, held in November 2017. Bieber won in the category Best Urban Interpretation 2017, for the song “Despacito Remix”, which vocalizes with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
Escalona Cruz explained to the TMZ news portal that he received the award belonging to Bieber by mail this week. Even the musician said he was astonished that it had reached his home. Escalona Cruz told TMZ that she called the Grammys to indicate the confusion. So, the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences apologized for the error and asked the producer of Marc Anthony to please return it as soon as possible to send it to the owner of the award: Justin Bieber. The news portal indicated that it is not clear if Bieber then received the Escalona Cruz award. Bieber did not attend the Latin Grammy Awards in November.
