If we thought we had seen everything in airline passenger abuse scandals, we were missing this case: a British Airways passenger claims that he had to travel in a seat soaked in urine on a flight that lasted eleven hours!
According to The Mirror newspaper, Andrew Wilkinson, from London, had boarded a flight at Heathrow airport bound for Cape Town when he noticed a "wet patch" on his seat. The unfortunate passenger says that although he initially thought it was water, the strong smell gave away what it really was.
When he told the flight attendant what was happening, she brought him some wipes and told him to clean the seat himself.
Overwhelmed by the situation, he requested that they please move him, but his request was not honored. So he had to fly sitting on that stinking, soggy seat.
At the end of the flight Wilkinson complained that "he could feel (the humidity) penetrating his pants".
The poor man had paid around ensar for the bad trip, British Airways only offered him 5,000 frequent flyer points. Wasn't this too little for such poor hygiene?
