The coronavirus crisis is hitting Spain hard. With more than 9,000 confirmed cases and more than 300 deaths, the country has been in alarm since last weekend, and for at least the next 15 days, meaning that no citizen can leave their home except for carrying out certain tasks, among them going to work - as long as their activity is of primary necessity and is therefore allowed - or purchasing food.

One of the many celebrities who are isolated in their homes is Cristina Urgel, who gave birth to Lt. Patricia O´Farrell in the first season of the successful soap opera La reina del sur.

Her case is even more striking when we consider that the Spanish actress is living at home with a person carrying the COVID-19: her partner.

This was announced through their social networks by the 40-year-old interpreter, who is the mother of a four-year-old girl.

“Every morning when I wake up I think that everything has been a nightmare. But no. Diego [my partner] is still isolated in a room, he is recovering well, but we don't see him. We are considered infected but they don't test us because there are priorities and we are asymptomatic. It is logical,”Urgel shared on Tuesday through Instagram.

“The days are tough but you have to smile because Noa is only four years old. Of course this is going to be a lesson that will change the way we see life for all of us”.

Urgel became very popular with the Hispanic public in 2011 thanks to his participation in the first season of La reina del sur, where he played Paty O´Farrell.

The truth was not expecting the success of the series. I was very excited because he was one of those characters that when you study theater you want to do, totally away from you and who had all the ingredients: cocaine, lesbian, drug dealer … I was very excited, but I never imagined success. I knew it was a good story, but not that 8 years later we would continue talking about it. It seems incredible to me,”the actress told last year in an exclusive interview with People en español 8 years after the end of the series.
