On April 20 of last year, Stefanie Sherk, the wife of Demian Bichir, passed away. Official reports concluded that the actress had killed herself after suffering a severe depression. A few months after the Canadian's first mourning anniversary, the histrion dedicated an emotional message to her for what would have been her 46th birthday.

“Our transit in this life is too short. It doesn't matter if we live 20 or 4th or 124 years; it's just a brief lapse on a longer trip. I will always be happy and grateful to have met you in this life, Stefanie,”Bichir wrote on her Instagram account. “Our paths will meet again someday. And then we'll keep laughing and loving each other like we always did. In memory of our dear Stefanie Sherk on her birthday. 1976-2019”.

The protagonist of the film A better life accompanied this text with an image of the smiling face of his spouse.

Hours earlier, the Oscar nominee also recalled the experience he lived with Sherk when they worked together on the film A Tale of Circus & A Love Song, which they made in 2016 and presented by various international festivals. The histrion gave his sentimental partner professional recognition.

“Stefanie was one of the most talented actors I have ever met.
