Sally Field, Rosie Pérez, Jeffrey Wright, Janet Mock, Steve Buscemi and Lea DeLaria are some of the celebrities who joined together to make the #StandUpFor Us video in which they ask the United States Congress to stop President-elect Donald Trump in if you intend to implement racist or sexist policies.
"Regardless of who they voted for," the video says, "most Americans did not vote for racism, sexism, or xenophobia."
So they ask Congress not to support the new ruler as a "last line of defense" in any policy that is against immigrants or any particular community.
They also emphasize the fact that, since Trump won, hate crimes have increased in the country and that "women and people of color have been attacked on his behalf."

"As Trump pursues his racist policies," say the participating stars, "sexist, anti-immigrant, anti-worker, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic and anti-environmental, we demand (members of Congress) to be vigilant."
The video was produced by Humanity for Progress, which until recently was called Humanity for Hillary.
