Demian Bichir Is Mourning The Death Of His Wife

Demian Bichir is mourning his wife Stefanie Sherk. The Mexican actor, 55, shared an emotional post on Instagram after the death of the Canadian actress and producer at the age of 43. “It is with inconceivable pain that I announce that on April 20, 2019, our dearest Stefanie Sherk, my beloved and loving wife, passed away peacefully,”his message says. "It has been the saddest and toughest time of our lives, and we don't know how much time it will take for us to overcome this pain."

The cause of Sherk's death at such an early age has not been revealed. The couple met in 2011, and Sherk starred in Bichir's directorial debut film, A Tale of Circus & A Love Song. The actress also had roles in the series Telenovela (alongside Eva Longoria), CSI: Cyber and The Bridge, where she shared credits with her husband.

Last year, Sherk held her husband's hand as he walked the red carpet at the premiere of his film The Nun in Los Angeles. The Lowriders star - whose film credits also include A Better Life, American Visa and Che - was also working with his wife on the supernatural psychological horror film Grudge, now in post-production, where Sherk played a therapist, which would be her last role.
