Dayanara Torres Misses Her Son Cristian

Cristian, the oldest son of Dayanara Torres, left the family home in Los Angeles a few months ago to begin his university studies in New York.

Getting used to the absence of her first-born son has cost the former Miss Universe work, which has leaned on her youngest son, Ryan, to get ahead.

"I miss him so much. The personality [of him] is me,”said the Puerto Rican, whose two children are the result of her marriage to singer Marc Anthony. “We are not that close, [but] thank God [with] technology one feels closer. With FaceTime, for example, because you're watching it, it's so skinny!”.

The blue-eyed woman admitted that the new stage generates uncertainties for her, since she formed a well-united nucleus with her children. "I took care of keeping them in my embrace, maybe they don't know much about living life alone, it is a very big transition," confessed Torres, who will finish the treatment for skin cancer that he suffers in March.

"Going alone to wash clothes, [go to] to cook [and] all these things that I had to teach her immediately and quickly," he explained.

One day he did tell me that he missed getting up and that breakfast was ready and I said 'did you see?' She misses being home and I realize that she misses because she calls me a lot.”

Luckily, Cristian seems to have adapted well to his new college life in the Big Apple away from Mom's care.

“I have visited it once and when I saw it, I couldn't believe it. I was impressed because that child knew where to go,”said Torres proudly, who spent Thanksgiving with her two children and family. "I was very capable, I was surprised and that helped me relax a little bit and we talked a lot."
