Not 24 hours go by without the Kardashian sisters making headlines. Yesterday, Kim Kardashian made headlines for agreeing to change the name of her new brand of girdles, which she had originally decided to call Kimono, after the mayor of Kyoto, Japan, formally asked her not to commercially use a name. With so much cultural significance for the Japanese, today the television clan leader is again in the spotlight for legal reasons. And she has won!
Last February Kim sued the low-cost fashion brand Missguided, accusing them of using her name and image without permission to promote designs almost identical to the vintage models she was wearing.
As reported by the portal Page Six, the judge's ruling dictates that the fashion firm will have to pay the businesswoman. She cannot use Kim Kardashian's name, or images of her to promote her own designs.
Has the businesswoman been happy?
