For Serena Williams, nothing is impossible, or at least that's the way it is seen by the millions of people who for years have followed her successful career as a tennis player with which she has won the most important awards in the industry. Among those collaborations are those she has done with brands such as Puma and Nike, with whom she has teamed up to create collections inspired by her and in the way that has revolutionized the sport she practices. However, now Williams decided to launch herself and create a collection of different clothes, and above all very affordable.
"I love this collection because it represents all facets of my life as an athlete, as a businesswoman and now as a mom," Williams said in a statement. “We are all in an adventure that challenges us with problems, with highs and lows and that makes us the people we are and who we want to be. I have learned to enjoy this process of growth and I dedicate this collection to all the women who want to join me in showing the world who they really are.”
The price of the pieces in the small 12-piece collection, which includes jackets, dresses and jeans, ranges from 14.99 to 215, and is currently only available at Serenawilliams.com. According to the athlete this time the pieces are more her style and essence.
"This [collection] is more me", the star confessed to People, who took into account the different shapes of the woman's body when she designed her eponymous collection "I am bringing my style to this project. Something I had always wanted to do since I went to design school many years ago."
Of course, the complete collection includes much more than the pieces that are already available. The remaining pieces will go on sale this summer and there is something for all tastes and sizes. Bravo Serena!
