This has been an extremely special year for actor Juan Pablo Raba. In addition to starring on Netflix's new Wild District show, the actor has received the greatest blessing: becoming a father a second time.
“There have been months of premieres in this house. We premiered little Josephine a few months ago,”said the 41-year-old actor in an exclusive People en Español video where he appears carrying the little girl in his arms. The clip was recorded at Raba's new home in the exclusive Malibu neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Little Josephine is Raba's second daughter with Colombian-American presenter, influencer, and model Mónica Fonseca and came into this world on August 27. The couple also has a 6-year-old boy: Joaquín Raba Fonseca.
“10 minutes before giving birth to our daughter. The courage, tranquility and composure of this woman never cease to amaze me”, wrote the actor after the delivery of his wife in a message that he shared on networks. “Deep admiration for her and for all of you fantastic women full of magic and creative power. I don't have love in my body right now.”
Raba has a long and recognized career in Latin America. Born in Colombia and raised by his father in Spain, the actor returned to his native land to venture into the world of film and television. On the small screen, he has participated in successful series such as El Cartel de los Sapos, alongside Patricia Manterola or La Reina del Sur with Kate del Castillo. Raba also participated in the second season of Narcos (Netflix) where he played the role of Gustavo Gaviria, cousin of the fearsome boss Pablo Escobar.
With the same Kate, she filmed the movie Los 33 (2015), which told the experiences of the miners who were trapped in a copper mine in Chile for 69 days and who miraculously managed to get out alive.
In the Wild District Raba plays John Jeiver, a guerrilla fighter who escapes from the Colombian jungle after the signing and referendum of the Colombian Peace Accords. Fleeing from his past, the protagonist arrives in Bogotá and tries to re-enter civil society.
The series is now available on Netflix.
