Social networks undoubtedly show the dream life that celebrities live: spectacular birthdays, unusual wardrobes, crazy bikinazos and perfect family lives. But what happens when users attack stars, criticize and judge them? "Suddenly an unhealthy comment on social networks [puts me] sometimes in a defensive position and you try to justify yourself in something that is not wrong," Ximena Duque exclusively told People en Español, who has been the victim of harsh criticism and attacks by some of his followers for the photos he shares. “I am in that process [of ignoring the negative], I think I have not achieved it 100 percent, but I promised myself to work on it for my well-being, I don't want to emphasize how I see myself or how they see me. That is not what is important. That puts me in a position of susceptibility and vulnerability."
In fact, Duque has more positive than negative things to focus on. After she married businessman Jay Adkins, the couple received their daughter Luna, who has conquered social networks in a huge way and today has an Instagram account that is followed by more than 300,000 users.
"I am a woman's dream for my husband and my family and that is what matters to me and that is where the important thing lies," said the Colombian, who is evaluating projects to return soon to television. "They see me as a woman's dream because I am a working woman, pushed forward, a good woman, a good wife. I go astray for them and in the end it is for them that I have to go out of my way”.
That's why he decided to spend the last six months just at home. "I'm not in a hurry for anything," says Duque. "The most important thing is to enjoy 100% the title of mother."
Along with his older son Cristian does the exercises to get back in shape, although he notices that he is not in a hurry. "I am preaching it to myself, because it is quite a difficult task," she says. "But I decided that my health comes first and when I am ready I will be ready, I will manage my time and I will decide when I will go out in a bathing suit."
