Former English soccer player David Beckham and Victoria Beckham demonstrated why they are one of the most enduring celebrity couples with the renewal of their marriage vows.
David, 41, and Victoria, 42, said yes in 1999, and since then have denied those who predicted that their union would not last. The couple married at a fabulous wedding in Ireland, before hundreds of glamorous guests.
That stands in stark contrast to the intimate ceremony with which the couple has just resumed their nuptial engagement. According to the athlete himself, it was only witnessed by "6 people".
"We have renewed our vows. It was much more private, as six people were in our house, "said Beckham in statements published by the British newspaper The Sun.
"We are a tightly knit family," said Beckham. "We have strong parents. We were raised with the correct values. Of course we make mistakes and we all know that marriage is difficult sometimes.”
Beckham accepted that the challenges for the couple in these 18 years of marriage have indeed existed. "We have gone through difficult stages, but we know ourselves better than anyone and we talk."

The couple has four children: Harper Seven, 5, Cruz David, 11, Romeo James, 14, and Brooklyn Joseph, 17.
