Singer Janet Jackson announced on Tuesday the birth of Eissa Al Mana, her first child, the fruit of her marriage to Qatari millionaire Wissam Al Mana.

The birth of the baby confirmed by People has filled fans of Michael Jackson's sister with joy, who surprised the world by announcing her pregnancy at 50.

"Janet had a stress-free delivery and is resting comfortably," a representative of the artist, who has been married to Al Mana since 2012, told eonlinecom.

As for the meaning of the child's name, the family has not explained it, but Eissa means Jesus in the Arabic language.

TJ Jackson, one of the singer's brothers, was one of the first to congratulate the new mom on social media.

The announcement of Jackson's pregnancy caused the cancellation of his Unbreakable world tour in May 2016.

"[Janet] is very excited about the pregnancy and is doing extremely well," a source told People in September about Jackson's pregnancy and that it certainly attracted attention because of the mother's age. "In fact she feels very good about everything."

"[Janet] is going to be a great mom because she is a very strong woman, very strict," the singer's older brother, Jermaine Jackson, told the magazine in May. "I said, 'If you need any help with parental skills or baby-sitting skills, let me know because I am the best diaper changer on this planet."
