They say that joys come two by two! In the case of two brothers from North Carolina they welcomed their offspring on March 20, that is, the same day and at the same minute.

The lucky new dads are Steve Thayer, 34, and his younger brother Matt Thayer, 31. The newborns were born on March 20 at 6:53 according to People. The little cousins Cassidy and Benjamin Thayer were born in different hospitals but came into the world at the same time. "We knew they would be born more or less on the same dates but not on the same day or minute," Matt said.

As Matt and his wife Brooke celebrated the birth of their first baby, Cassidy; They received the news that Steve and his wife Fawn had just welcomed their third child, Benjamin, to a hospital 80 miles away. Matt and Brooke were at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst while Steve and Fawn went to Duke University Hospital in Durham.

"It was a shock. I was absolutely amazed, "Brooke explained. "What are the odds?"

My father-in-law asked the nurse about the time our baby was born and she said 06:53, and then she texted Steve asking for details of his baby - height, weight, and time of birth - and when he replied that he was born at 06:53 he said: 'why don't you guess what time Steve's baby was born ?!' Brooke said

While siblings have always had a close relationship, they are now delighted that their babies share this special connection. "We think they will grow to be very close," said Steve.

The cousins, who according to the brothers are very similar, celebrated their first Easter together as a family last Sunday.
