Dania Ramírez is determined that her twins, Gaia Jissel and John Aether, grow up speaking English and Spanish, for which she has enlisted the help of her family.
"My cousin Yoli is here from Mexico and she has been helping me with the children from the beginning," the actress confessed to People at the LA Art Show in Los Angeles for the benefit of St. Jude Hospital. “We started reading books to them in Spanish too. Just trying to tell them all the stories in English and Spanish so they can speak fluently.”
Although the 1-year-old children have not yet said a word in Spanish, Ramírez thinks his efforts are paying off.
"I have everyone talking to them in Spanish," said actress from the series Devious Maids. "I think they are already understanding it a little better now [although] I do think they must be a little confused."
