The actress Eva Mendes was seen this Wednesday for the first time in a television show after giving birth in September to her first-born, Esmeralda Amada Goslin, of whom she presented a curious portrait
The Cuban-American appeared as a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres program, in which she spoke of her motherhood and the method she follows to lose the extra pounds that her pregnancy left her.
During the interview, DeGeneres called the actress a "liar" for denying that she was pregnant a few months ago. Laughing, Mendes defended herself by saying that at that time not even her mother knew of her condition so she could not reveal it to the world.
She also commented that both she and her partner, actor Ryan Gosling, are getting used to being parents and, although the little girl still does not sleep all night, it is the best thing that has happened to her.
"I'm tired and it's for the best," she said. "I really am incredibly tired. I thought that before I got tired at times, but no, nothing like this. But I wouldn't change it for anything."
During the show, the host joked with the new mom and the public, revealing an alleged photograph of the little girl, which was actually a composite image featuring the Mendes and Gosling factions. "It's very exotic," said the actress smiling. Mendes insisted that at the moment she and Rosling want to keep the little girl's privacy, so he does not yet know when he will introduce her to his followers.
What has the actress done to lose the extra pounds that the pregnancy left her? "Breastfeed," she revealed. "It really helps."
