Christina Aguilera and Matthew Rutler will be parents to a girl.
During a concert in Malaysia the singer confirmed her pregnancy and announced that she is expecting a girl. "This is your first concert, you are your first concert!" Said the singer, referring to her daughter.
The news about Aguilera's pregnancy came a week after the artist announced her engagement to Matt Rutler, whom she met in 2010 on the set of Burlesque, a film that Aguilera starred opposite singer Cher and in which he worked as a production assistant.
"They are very in love and very excited to take this next step," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE about Aguilera's pregnancy.
Christina Aguilera has a 6-year-old son, Max Liron, the result of her marriage to Jordan Bratman, from whom she separated in late 2010.
