Lila Grace Moss, the 14-year-old daughter of iconic model Kate Moss and Dazed Media co-founder Jefferson Hack, stars in her first campaign with British company The Braid Bar.
Almost a year after being on the cover of Vogue Italia with his famous mother, now the young star begins his own solo career. In the Moss campaign she wears colorful braids with her friend Stella Jones, daughter of the rocker of the legendary punk rock group The Clash Mick Jones.
The campaign led by Lila aims to promote the summer catalog that The Braid Bar is going to offer, although it is accompanied by a new controversy.
The criticism it has received is for its lack of diversity, especially when the style of braids that the models wear are of African-American inspiration.
The Braid Bar replied with a letter on its website. "We would like to apologize to all those who were offended by our lack of cultural sensitivity," acknowledged the company, which promised that "from now on they will see changes in the way we do things."
Lila Grace Moss is one of many famous children starting a modeling career. Daughter Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber, is a face of Marc Jacobs Beauty; the daughter of Johnny Depp, Lily-Rose Depp, has a contract with Chanel; and Iris Law, daughter of Jude Law, is a model of Burberry Beauty. Moss currently has a contract with her mom's modeling agency, called Kate Moss Modeling Agency.
