Although she considers that it was time to close this cycle in order to open a new one, Carmen Villalobo s does not fail to acknowledge that she is 'very nostalgic' to say goodbye to Catalina, a character who has accompanied her during the last ten years of her life and who, without a doubt, has marked a before and after in his career. Now that the saga has come to an end, the Colombian actress tells us what she will miss most about her participation in this story and she is sincere about the controversial relationship she had with Stephania Duque (Mariana) in fiction.

What was the first thing that crossed your mind when you were told that this would be the end of the saga?


Obviously when we were told at the beginning that this was the end of paradise we all took it for granted that it really was the end of paradise, let's say that was no surprise. But it is one thing to be told and one thing to be confirmed. I believe that everything has its end definitively and that things have to end to start others. I feel like everything has completed its cycle and that it is time to do new things. In that I am as a superdegree. What happens is that of course we say that I feel very nostalgic.

What are you going to miss the most?

See my teammates, see Gregorio [Pernía], see Roberto Manrique or last season a Majida Issa. With them three I made a great friendship off screen and with them three I also made a great team in the series. When you team up with your teammates it's the most delicious thing in the world, so I think I will miss that chemistry on set with them.

How will you remember the series in a few years? What is the first thing that will come to mind?

I think I would have memories of Cata in the neighborhood with her friends, the neighborhood girls, like all the party time of them; her death; so to speak, in quotation marks, the 'resurrection' of Cata and everything that led to this end. I will always remember Catalina and Sin sinos if there is paradise with much love and much gratitude.

What does Catalina Santana dignify today at a professional and personal level?


I always said it was a watershed in my career. It was 8 years ago when we premiered in 2008 Without breasts there is no paradise. He made me known internationally and as the protagonist. After that came productions like My Heart Insists, The Lord of the Skies, productions in my country, a movie and I come back again with Catalina and incredibly after 8 years she comes back and booms and the public falls in love with the character, so I I will always be grateful for this character that I have felt so mine and know him so much. If I had been able to do a thousand things in my hands, believe me I would have done many.

What was it like for you to record Mariana's death?


They were very emotional scenes. I never understood Mariana's hatred for Catalina, in fact I finished the series and I didn't understand it. It is one thing that Catalina and Santiago were absent parents but to the point that the daughter wanted to kill her at that level, she is very strong. I never understood it. For me as an actress it was difficult to interpret it because when you do not understand what happens it is very difficult to transmit it, so basically I was guided by my two directors and I did a teamwork with them because I never understood it. I read the comments a lot and people comment on that, no matter how much hatred, no matter how much she had absent parents and suddenly they did not understand her and she was a problematic girl, to the point of wanting to murder her mother and treat her as nothing was working her justice, then it is something I never understood.
