Antonio Banderas' Ex Talks About His Surgeries

Melanie Griffith, considered one of the most beautiful faces in cinema in the 1980s, has admitted that the cosmetic surgeries and procedures that she underwent over the years ended up disfavoring her appearance.

"No, I hadn't realized until people started saying 'oh my gosh, what have you done?'" The actress explained in an interview with Porter magazine, regarding a facelift that was done 20 years and the botox that was injected about seven years ago. "I was so hurt that I went to a different doctor and he started to dissolve all this shit that this other doctor had put in."

The protagonist of Working Girl admitted that her decision to have cosmetic procedures is due to her fear of the aging process, but for about three years she has resorted to practices to reverse those changes. "Hopefully, I look more normal now," he said.

Griffith, who has kept a low profile after his separation from Antonio Banderas in 2014, acknowledged in the interview that the end of his 18-year marriage to the Spaniard might well have been his fault.

"I think part of the reason my marriage to Antonio fell apart was because I was stuck," he observed. "No one else is to blame. It's just that personally I was trapped and I won't let that happen again, I want to enjoy life, I want to do what I want to do.”

Now, after the divorce, she revealed that she was "rather shy with men" and that she has spent almost two years without dating any.

He also spoke openly about his battle with addictions, stating that he did everything possible to ensure that his fight for addiction and the time he spent in rehab did not affect his children.

"She was a fully functional mother. It was not like a drunk lying on the ground, or a person beside herself, "she said. “I didn't do some things that I probably should have, but in most [cases] I was there for my children. They had a kind of privileged gypsy life”.

The actress is the mother of three children: Alexander Bauer, a product of her relationship with actor Steven Bauer; Dakota Johnson, from her marriage to actor Don Johnson; and Stella Banderas, daughter of Antonio Banderas.
