A 29-year-old man suspected of being the leader of the Trinitarians gang, and his alleged accomplice, 26, were arrested and brought before a judge this Wednesday in connection with the hacking murder of Lesandro Guzmán- Happy "Junior".

The 15-year-old Dominican boy was killed on the corner of a store located on 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue, in the Bronx, and his cruel agony was captured in a video that went viral.

Wearing casual clothing and showing apparent disinterest in the prosecutors' words, Diego Suero and his sidekick, Gabriel Ramírez Concepción, appeared before Judge Shari Ruth Michaels to hear the charges against him through a translator.

"These defendants are the most recent individuals in a series of arrests and charges in connection with the death that occurred in this county on June 20 of this year," prosecutor Christine Scacchia said in court, according to local newspaper The New York. Post. "There are multiple defendants who have already been found guilty before a grand jury," added the lawyer.

The prosecution did not offer details of the role that Suero and Ramírez played in the murder of the 15-year-old boy, however it was confirmed that both subjects belong to the Trinitarians gang, the main suspect in the vile attack.

According to the Post, Michael Hughes, an attorney for both suspects, filed a plea of innocence on behalf of his clients against whom the murder, involuntary manslaughter, gang assault, conspiracy and criminal possession of a weapon charges.

With this they already add 10 arrests in connection with the crime that shook the nation. The subjects in custody are: José Muñiz, 21 years old; José Tavérez, 18; Manuel Rivera, 21; Daniel Fernández, 24; Joniki Martinez, 24, and Santiago Rodríguez, also 24.

According to different testimonies, the attack against the young man was committed by mistake, since the fearsome gangster was seeking revenge against an unidentified young man who appeared in a rap video having sexual relations with the sister of one of the gang members.

"Everyone wants to put their hand on them," said a source to the Post. Due to the risks to their lives, three of the suspects are in isolated cells on Rikers Island and some more have been transferred to facilities in New Jersey; however, the exact location of all those arrested is unknown.

On its official website, the New York 48th Precinct Police reported that an eleventh suspect is still being sought. "This investigation is not over," said Chief Detective Dermot Shea. “[Lesandro] was not going to give up on his dream of becoming a NYPD detective and I WILL NEVER DISAPPOINT HIM. We will not leave stone without lifting. We have ample resources to deal with whoever wants to join the gangs.”
