In November 2006, Valentín Elizalde was killed with firearms while leaving a presentation in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Now, the singer is back with a single titled "Quiero", which will be included in a musical production dedicated to the Golden Rooster.
"This is a gift for Valentin Elizalde fans who keep him alive," said Tano Elizalde, songwriter and cousin of the singer, in a statement. And the best way to truly honor him is by making his music known, his essence, what he really is.”
This unpublished song is part of the Tribute Album to Valentín Elizalde From your skin to my skin with which the Guasaveña Band pays homage to the singer and, at the same time, keeps his legacy alive. The song was recorded by the interpreter of “A mis quieres” twelve years ago in a studio in Los Mochis, Sinaloa; when he was at the peak of his musical career.
"A song full of feelings, full of love, many things attributed to the heart, full of memories, is such a beautiful song," he added.
“We are recording 'I want'”, is heard in the voice of the Golden Rooster at the beginning of the song, to then give way to the complete melody.
This album, produced by Universal Music, includes collaborations from exponents of the Mexican Regional such as América Sierra, El Bebeto, Chayín Rubio and Los Intocables del norte, among others; who interpret the successes of Valentín Elizalde.
The release of this album will be on November 3 on digital platforms.
Valentín Elizalde died at 27 years of age.
