The autopsy results of a shocking murder in West Hollywood where a 30-year-old model was found dead next to her 2-month-old baby were released Wednesday.
The autopsy revealed that Iana Kasian had been tortured, bitten, skinned from her head, and her blood had been drained by the boyfriend and father of the creature, Blake Leibel, 36.
The woman's body was found in the bed of her apartment in May 2016. Parts of one of the sides of her face had been removed and her skull was visible because her scalp had been cut. The woman had signs of Creanean trauma, and the missing piece of her skin was never found by the experts.
Leibel is a wealthy comic artist who is the son of Lorne Leibel, a former Olympic athlete and powerful real estate businessman from Toronto, Canada.
The aspiring artist was immediately singled out as a suspect in the crime and was subsequently charged with one count of murder, violence, aggravated violence and torture under special circumstances. Such circumstances, reports KABC 13, would make him a candidate for the death penalty.
According to Daily News reports, Leibel - who has pleaded not guilty to the accusations against him - wrote novels whose scenes featured chilling parallels similar to the violence and torture to which he allegedly subjected his girlfriend.
Kasian's baby, who was the result of her relationship with Leibel, is now one year old and suffered no harm during the incident. The minor remains in the custody of the victim's mother, who filed a $ 56 million lawsuit against the defendant's family.
