After several years of litigation, Jenni Rivera's family reached an out-of-court financial settlement with the manufacturer of the plane in which the singer died from an accident in December 2012.
According to documents shown by the Suelta la sopa program (Telemundo), the aeronautical companies Bombardier and Learjet, together with the navigation equipment manufacturer Garmin International, agreed to pay a total of years, which are outside the judgment that the next July 24.
The company that owns the damaged jet, Starwood International, and other defendants are involved in this process.
The Bombardier deal had already been announced last year, but details have not been released until now and court approval to make it official was missing.
A Los Angeles judge last year sentenced Starwood to pay ustible compensation for crashing into a signpost when landing at a Amarillo, TX airport.
The Rivera family filed the complaint against the owners and manufacturers of the plane in December 2014. At that time, the artist's widower, Esteban Loaiza filed another wrongful death lawsuit against Starwood in which he accused the pilots of not being sufficiently trained to fly and operate a damaged aircraft. That lawsuit was dismissed.
