Neighbor Kills Father Who Tried To Drown His Twins

A neighbor in the town of Ada, Oklahoma, killed a father who apparently tried to drown his 3-month-old twins in the house where his wife lived, from whom he was separated.

The events occurred last Friday when a 12-year-old girl broke into Cash Freeman's house to warn him that in the next house a man was trying to drown the babies and that he had the children's mother threatened with a knife, according to the local press.

Immediately, the neighbor ran to the minor's house, where he found Leland Michael Foster trying to immerse the minors in the bathtub.

Given this situation, said the director of communications of the Ada police, Lisa Bratcher, Freeman shot his neighbor with a revolver, with which he was fatally shot twice in the head.

After what happened, Freeman was taken to the police station for questioning and was subsequently released. The case will be examined by the district attorney to determine if charges will be brought against him for the death of the 27-year-old father.

For their part, the twins of the deceased were taken by helicopter to the Mercy Hospital in Ada to be treated.

According to various media outlets, the deceased had a criminal record on charges of arson, strangulation and domestic abuse.
