It may be a recurring episode on all public transport in the world, but in this case the story had a different ending. The young Uma Mageswari, who saw her recorded by another passenger on a Singapore train, refused to be merely a victim and denounced the shameless.
“I want to draw attention to this episode to the general public, as long as it serves to alienate other jerks. Please, always be attentive to what is happening around you”, wrote the young woman on her social networks, where she denounced and related the event. "Never be afraid to report such acts that may be committed against you or others close by."
This incident happened on May 17 on the subway when Mageswari, who was going to meet some friends, boarded the train at Parque Outram station.
The girl sat at the empty end of the car and soon after noticed that a man sought to sit in the seat opposite her, despite the train being visibly empty. The guy pulled out his cell phone, raising the girl's suspicion.
He went from suspicion to outrage when in the reflection of the cell phone screen in the window behind the man he could see that he was not checking his networks, but recording it. In response, Mageswari pulled out her phone and also started recording it.
With the evidence of the harassment in hand, the girl confronted him. When the police appeared, he arrested the subject, despite arguing that he was conducting an investigation because he allegedly works for the subway.
After conducting the pertinent police investigations, the authorities discovered that the detainee identified solely by the name of Suraj had in his possession many other filming of women in the subway, as well as other obscene videos.
