Demi Lovato Separates From Her Boyfriend

Demi Lovato has just parted ways with MMA fighter Guilherme Bomba Vasconcelos, a source confirmed to PEOPLE. The singer and the fighter would have started their relationship in July but it was not until the New Year that they made it public through their social platforms.

"It was a dramatic separation," said the source. "Bomba is a good boy, but the relationship was no longer going anywhere."

In recent months, Lovato and the fighter have posted photos together on their respective Instagram accounts. Vasconcelos recently shared a photo on his Instagram account in which both appear caramelized. "I miss you too much," he wrote in the caption.

In April, Lovato - who is preparing to launch her documentary I Am: Demi Lovato on YouTube - spoke about Vasconcelos in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He is so cute," said the singer during her speech. "I'm very happy. Life is very good."

The singer also highlighted in that interview that she had recently celebrated five years of sobriety. "It means a lot to me because I think the day I started my sobriety was the day I started living," said Lovato.

This separation comes almost a year after Lovato separated from actor Wilmer Valderrama. Lovato's relationship with Valderrama lasted about six years. Lovato's representatives did not comment on their most recent separation.
