A Chester County, Tennessee, preacher and teacher aide has been accused of raping a student at the school where he worked.

Although his advocate says he is innocent and "has not committed any crime," officials say Mike Ulmer, 53, brought the victim, an 18-year-old girl, to his home in Henderson, Tennessee, on February 16., reports People magazine.

The young woman is a student at Chester County High School, where Ulmer also worked, but was suspended from his assistant position on February 17, moments before he was arrested.

The day before he was arrested, authorities allege that the defendant paid the victim to clean up his office, which was located in his garage, People reports.

Ulmer also serves as a pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Henderson.

The victim told investigators that Ulmer used a rope to tie her wrists in the garage and used a hook to hang her from the ceiling, preventing her from escaping. She was then sexually abused, according to court records.

Ulmer was arrested on charges of rape, sexual assault, and assault, but pleaded not guilty.

The charges were filed Thursday, after the victim herself told police that Ulmer had abused her nearly four months ago.

Court documents allege that in November, Ulmer asked the young woman if she could "stick her fingers in her mouth," while he was driving toward the girl's house.

Authorities say the defendant put his fingers in the girl's mouth before stopping the march behind a sawmill, where the victim said that she "was holding her head in her lap and forcibly opened her mouth."

Investigators say the victim recorded the event on her cell phone and that Ulmer can be heard on audio when he orders the girl to open her mouth.

The girl may also allegedly hear herself on the recording asking her to stop.

Ulmer was released after posting a bail bond for People. His defense attorney, Mark Donahoe, told People that he intends to fight the charges.

"We reiterate that Mike did nothing wrong," said Donahoe.
