In an unusual interview for the Happy Mom, Happy Baby podcast, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed how she would like her children, Princes George, Charlotte and Louis to one day remember their childhood.
At 38, Kate Middleton herself asked the question in front of the interviewer Giovanna Fletcher. “Someone asked me the other day how I would like my children to remember their childhood… I thought it was a very valid question, because if you really think about it, do you really want to be remembered in front of them helping them with math and homework? school on weekends?”

"Or rather that excursion where we built a bonfire and sat around the fire to make sausages and we never made it because it was all wet?" Continued this young mom.
Kate Middleton did not hesitate for a moment. That is what I would like you to remember, moments at your side where I am your mother, yes, but also the memory of the united family going to the beach, soaking us, letting the water get inside our boots, that It is the kind of adventure I would like you to remember. Not a very rigid home environment where everything has to be perfect and in the end you achieve nothing”.
The wife of Prince William and Queen Elizabeth's favorite, also took the opportunity to remember her childhood in the field. “I had a very happy childhood. It was a lot of fun, I was very lucky to be born into a close family. My parents were dedicated body and soul to me and my brothers. Now that I'm a mom, I appreciate much more everything they sacrificed for us.”
Kate Middleton also talked about how her parents, Carole and Michael, were present at all times in the life of her and her brothers, Pippa and James, who recently got engaged, attending every sporting event they participated in at school and without parting with them during the holidays.
“If I look back, what I remember most from my childhood were the simplest things and I see that this is also what leaves the most impact on my children's lives. The world is now so complicated, so fast and with so many distractions that simple things really are, like looking at the fire on a rainy day, which gives you more satisfaction.”
In closing, Fletcher asked the Duchess of Cambridge to finish this sentence for her: I am happiest when … To which Kate Middleton replied: "When I am with my family in the field and we are all muddy to the ears."
