Reykon is happy with the reception “Perriando” has received, his new single in which he mixes urban rhythms with the unmistakable trumpets of the song “La murga de Panamá” from 1971 by the greats of salsa Willie Colon and Héctor Lavoe. "The idea was to bring my musical culture [and] from what I heard when I was little," said the singer in an interview with People en Español. "I grew up with the influence of [the greats of salsa] and I said 'why not make a sauce incorporated with reggaeton?'".

The video for “Perriando”, directed by Harold and recorded by 36 Degrees, shows Reykon hypnotized when he found a vinyl record player that transports him to a television program from the 70s. In the scenes, we see Reykon driving all the women in the audience and the entire production team of the variety show crazy with her stellar performance. The Colombian phenomenon made sure to use various references on the subject and in the video to bring to life the ideas he had in mind with this single. For example, we see Reykon starring in multiple characters throughout the video, we even see him dressed as Tego Calderón, an icon of classic reggaeton, and he refers to the lyrics of his hit “Pa 'que retozen”.

In addition to music, Reykon tried his luck with acting on the Colombian film Loco por vos. "I was surrounded by very good actors from the scene in Colombia so it wasn't that it was easy for me but it was less difficult for me," he explained. "We had a great time."

Would you stop singing to dedicate yourself to acting? "I flirt with him, but the truth is I think it's a race that takes a lot of time and learning scripts, and what about music?" He said. “For those of us who love music, this has been almost everything and we also need that time to continue making and developing songs like“Perriando”'.

Soon we can listen to the mix of the catchy single with Willie Colón. "I still don't believe it! The truth [I am] happy. It is very beautiful because they are characters that marked the history of Latin music and continue to mark it”.
