Ari Behn's mother joined the public displays of pain at the tragic news of her son's suicide at Christmas. Marianne Behn shared an emotional message from her Instagram account with a message dedicated to her son, ex-husband of Princess Marta Luisa of Norway, who took his own life at just 47 years old.

Under the photo, in which both appear smiling on the beach, the mother of the multifaceted artist, writer and painter, dedicated these heartfelt words to him: “My dearest Mikis. The darkness never caught you… It was the bright light that melted into you.”

Ari Behn's mother played a very important role in her son's life, since it was she who introduced him to the love of his life and mother of his three daughters, Princess Marta Luisa of Norway. Marianne was her professor at the University of Oslo.

The princess, on the other hand, a fan of the use of social networks, has not yet commented on this painful event. We cannot imagine the difficult situation she is going through these days, surely still in shock at the death of her husband of fourteen years, trying to comfort her three teenage daughters: Maud Angélica, Emma Tallulah and Leah Isadora, who are now 16, 14 and 11 years respectively.

On December 25, shortly before learning of the tragedy, a happy Marta Luisa arrived at Christmas mass, accompanied by her beloved 45-year-old Californian shaman, Durek Verrett, in the first official act she attended with her partner. The fact went virtually unnoticed due to the magnitude of the news that would be known shortly after and that shocked both the royalty of Norway and the entire country.

Ten years ago Ari Behn was already talking about his mental health with the Norwegian magazine Massiv and thus imagined his end: “I am not a happy man. I have little crises on a daily basis. The smallest and most insignificant problem can make me jump until I hit the ceiling. I have a nervous breakdown at least once a day. I'm going to die alone, without any company. Alone and bitter. It's like I'm never able to tie myself to something at all.”
