Proposals have not lacked Africa Zavala to return to television during this last year in which she has been away from the world of acting; However, the Mexican actress, who is relaunching her singing career, has preferred to take her return to the set calmly and wait until the right project arrives that allows her to continue growing.

“The truth is that I have not had a project that is very interesting to me at the moment. I have had proposals that I am very grateful for but I would like a challenge and sometimes it is complicated”, the 34-year-old interpreter told the People en Español, thus ruling out that she plans to retire from acting to focus solely on music.

“I had two incredible projects that were challenging for me and I would like to find something better than that and it has been a little difficult because they were indeed great projects, but I hope that the project I am dreaming of will come, that it will be something different,” says Africa.

What does that project have to do to get you excited?

I have always, throughout my career, tried to make the next project different and challenging and for people to be able to say 'look Africa has transformed'. That is what I am looking for which has been a bit difficult and more because of the projects that I have had behind but I am sure that I will find it. You have to be patient and I don't want to grab something like what I've already done. I want to do something different. For the moment I would also like to take advantage of this moment to sing.

How would you like that character to be?

I want something different, something I haven't done. I would like to make some murderous villain or, I don't know, a crazy one. Something that is totally different from me or what they have seen in the novels. I hope they give me the opportunity to do something different because that is what I would like, that it is a challenge.

What it has is that we make life more beautiful. We are in love, happy and well that is a blessing, to find such a person.

Always with my family. It is a date that I really like because it is a time to be together and have a delicious dinner. It is one of the most beautiful days I think of the year in which I most enjoy being able to get together with my family.
