One more achievement for the Cangri!

The Puerto Rican star Daddy Yankee announced that he is opening a museum in the Caribbean territory of the United States that will be dedicated to his life and the music that made him famous, reggaeton.

The Daddy Yankee El Jefe Museum opens on Friday at the Plaza de Las Américas in San Juan and admission is completely free.

The 8,000-square-foot (743-square-meter) space will tell the story of reggaeton starting with Yankee pioneering in 1991, showcasing the brilliant outfits he has worn in his performances, as well as the awards he has received throughout his career and the most precious memories of the artist. The exhibition will be temporary and will be open until January.

The interpreter of “Que tire pa'lante” made the announcement to his fans and followers on Thursday through an Instagram post.

“This photo is at VILLA KENNEDY. The difference is that the one on the left is the real one and the one on the right is an exact replica,”wrote the Puerto Rican, sharing a preview of what will be seen in the museum.

He recently set a record at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico with 10 shows scheduled for December.

Yankee is now a superstar who tops the music charts and fills stadiums around the world, but never forgets his humble origins. The urban performer shared his life before fame with People En Espannol. "What keeps me grounded is always remembering where I came from," he says. "I go to Villa Kennedy, and I remember where it all started," he adds about the low-income housing building in the Barrio Obrero of San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he lived before becoming a renowned singer and businessman.

Bravo, DY, bravo!
