After earning the enmity of many of her fellow professionals by declaring that she did not need to parade on the catwalks as other models do and raising tremendous controversy with the Pepsi announcement she starred in last year, Kendall Jenner is again criticized for the latest look with which she appears in Vogue.

The 22-year-old model poses before the camera of photographer Mikael Jansson with a look that, according to the magazine, was intended to reflect a style that was worn in the 60s.

The magazine for its part has issued a statement published in Page Six in which it assures that they did not intend to offend anyone with this style with which they sought to recreate a look typical of the Edwardian era, “the Brock Collection and the hair in a big way that It was worn in the 60s and early 70s. We are sorry if it was interpreted differently than we intended and of course we did not want to offend anyone."

In the more than 1800 comments that the image has unleashed, opinion is divided. This is not an afro. I don't have to google to find out. Having frizzy, carded, puffy or curly hair is not the same as cultural appropriation”, writes one of the instagramers who do not understand the controversy.

"If they wanted a model that didn't look white, they could have chosen a girl of color," wrote another user.
