The wife of a man from Wilton, Connecticut, who is in a coma at Danbury Hospital, is raising her voice to beg people not to trust her. Her husband, she says, became very seriously ill, very quickly and developed pneumonia after contracting the fearsome COVID-19.

The woman - who has not revealed her identity in order to protect the privacy of the family - indicated on a GoFundMe page that in late February her husband took a business trip to a conference in San Francisco. On February 28, she returned home and said she felt "very tired." By March 2, she already had a very high fever that they attributed to the common flu, the woman told the Connecticut Post newspaper. In a short time she tested positive for a coronavirus, after which she developed pneumonia.

"It quickly turned into bilateral pneumonia and he was hospitalized a week later for respiratory problems," the woman said in her online petition asking the public to help her financially. "She is now in the Danbury Hospital Intensive Care Unit in an induced coma connected to a ventilator."

The patient, whose name has not been released, with his twin babies:

"I know a lot of people are saying this is hysteria, but I think it's really important that people take this seriously," says the woman on her GoFundMe page. "My husband got really sick, really fast."

Fortunately, it seems that the man has no longer developed a fever and now the hope that he will recover. For his part, the woman and his twins remain at home under quarantine, and he, who is an hourly paid nurse, will not be able to work for a while until things are normalized in the family.
