Brian Christopher Lawler, star of the World Wrestling Federation (WWE), died last Sunday in the state of Tennessee, in what appears to have been suicide.

The ex-wrestler was found without vital signs in a cell at the Hardeman County Jail, where he was serving a sentence for driving under the influence, driving with an expired driving license, and evading arrest.

As revealed by People magazine through a report on its online site, Lawler reportedly attempted to kill himself by hanging himself inside his holding place on Saturday night. "Prison officials administered CPR while paramedics arrived … he was transported to the Regional One Medical Center in the city of Memphis, where he died on Sunday afternoon," the authorities in charge of the investigation said.
