If you follow stylist Millie Morales (@bbellamillie) on Instagram you will see that she spends the day creating incredible makeup and hair looks for celebrities such as Chiquinquirá Delegado, Francisca Lachapel, Roselyn Sánchez, Gaby Espino and many more. We have been fortunate to have her in our studio to give us some tips and ideas to have fun and play with our hair this summer.
Do not miss the two hairstyles proposed by the expert to collect your hair with grace and above all with a lot of style.
The first look is about a braid that requires a little more skill in the beginning, but pay attention to the video and it's all about practicing! On drier hair, Millie recommends using the new Garnier Fructis One minute mask to hydrate hair and prepare it for styling.
- Divide the hair in two making sure that the hair is well detangled.
- Make a braid from the hairline back. Starting with very fine locks and adding thicker locks as you pull your hair back. The result is two boxer-style braids that Kim Kardashian likes so much.
- To finish, gather the two braids at the nape of the neck with bobby pins, hiding the ends, as if making a knot. Voilà! a simple collection that seems very elaborate.
The second hairstyle is a very cool messy bun that anyone can do, even if you have very fine hair. In those cases she recommends creating volume with a dry shampoo before starting to style.
- Strand by strand, you lightly card the hair in the root zone. Millie recommends doing it with a large comb that has a lot of tine splitting.
- The key is to make a very high tail and the tighter the better.
- Once you have the ponytail up high, re-card the base of the ponytail to create more volume.
- With the ponytail well carded, wrap the hair around the elastic band and secure the topknot with large bobby pins.
