Lincoln Palomeque gives life to the peculiar character of Faustino Sánchez Godoy in the series La reina del sur 2 (Telemundo) and there viewers laugh at his occurrences. But who is behind the man who is involved with the mafia in that television series?

“I always try to be with God because I am a believer from a very young age; I have always been to mass. I feel that everything that happens is the work of God. Sometimes you look at the negative but if you look around there are many blessings, confesses the 42-year-old Colombian exclusively. “There are many things to be thankful for and I always have God in my heart. Everything that happens - the good and the bad - I thank God. So much so that I understood why my mom had to leave, because she had to rest, I have always had faith.

Palomeque held on to her beliefs when her now-missing mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. “Mom for everyone is an important part, but for me, I lived with my mother until I was 33 years old. I am not the son that at the age of 20 he took his way; she lived with me. It hurt me a lot to lose her,”says the protagonist of the film Jesus of Nazareth from his mother, who died in 2017.“My mother gets cancer. I stopped all my life to accompany her, to fight with her and she gave everything up also seeing me, my brother fight and she endured as much as she could”.

And he adds: "At that moment the news reached me that I was going to have a child and at first I asked myself: 'Why is God sending me this happiness and sadness?' It was a roller coaster of emotions."

With the birth of his firstborn in 2017, the histrion understood everything. "What I am enjoying the most now that I finish The Queen …: my home, being with my son," he says. “Those moments are the most beautiful and they are the ones that recharge me. I'm always living to the fullest.”
