Singer Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles shared with Teen Vogue a letter dedicated to herself when she was younger where she talks about what being a teenage mother meant to her. “Your 17 will be the most difficult year of your life. They will make you grow almost immediately. You will lose your best friend, whom you love so much, to gun violence in a single second, and you will give birth to a new one a year later. You will be terrified and it is good that you do not know what the future holds for you. Some people will no longer count on you for the decision you have made to bring another life to the world so young, but you made the decision for love and you will live with that decision in love,”reveals the mother of Daniel Julez, now 13 years old.
In the moving story, Solange assures the young lady that it was that her life will improve over the years. “You will soon learn how to love and how to exist within love in ways you never knew. You will learn to love yourself and how to empathize with those and forgive those who perhaps took some of that pure love from you. You have a long life ahead and I tell you, it will not always be easy, but I promise it will be fruitful and will have a lot of purpose. All the bridges that you have burned you had to do in order to rebuild them and become a stronger and more wonderful version of yourself”, she adds.
