Serena Williams announced to the world that she will soon be a mom, by mistake! The American tennis player spoke at Ted Talks conferences about this mistake on social networks that made her the center of attention. Williams inadvertently sent a photo of her pregnancy on Snapchat, where she shows off her tummy in a yellow swimsuit and contains the message "20 weeks."

Her partner is Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of the social network Reddit, who is a master of technology, but the athlete pressed the wrong button on Snapchat and the rest is history. Shortly after her pregnancy photo was made public, Williams' publicist confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her fiancé are expecting their first baby. "I am happy to confirm that Serena is expecting a baby this fall," said her representative.

In Ted Talks, Serena told how everything happened. "It was an accident. I was on vacation taking time for myself and I've been taking photos every week [to document the pregnancy process],”said the 35-year-old mother-to-be. “I hadn't told a lot of people and I was saving it for myself. In social networks you press the wrong button and … thirty minutes later I already had four missed calls. I thought, 'How strange.' But it was a good time, I was only going to wait five or six more days [to announce it].”

A few days later, the tennis player shared another pregnant photo with a tender message for her baby. "My dear baby. You gave me the strength I didn't know I had. You have taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace, "he wrote. "I really want to meet you".

At Ted Talks, Williams clarified that there are no retirement plans after giving birth. "Roger Federer is older than me and he is still winning everything," he said. "My baby is going to be applauding me from the stands."
