In addition to being one of the greatest exponents of urban music today, J Balvin is also known for his passion for fashion. And we are not only talking about his successful looks on the red carpets, but an interest that has led him to collaborate with designers like the Colombian Esteban Cortázar in a collection of hoodies for the Colette store in Paris, to be the face of the week of the menswear in New York and working with prestigious brands like Tag Heurer.

"For me, fashion or style is the way in which you can talk about your personality without opening your mouth, that with the mere presence they can describe the attitude you have and make known the vibe you want to transmit," says the Colombian popular, who attributes to his mother with having instilled in him a love of fashion since he was a child. “What I want to represent with my style is that everyone feels comfortable with what he is and how he feels. I do it through my hair look changes. It's a way of saying 'be proud to be what you are and represent.'”

Although we usually see him in ripped jeans, brightly colored hoodies, flashy jackets and the coolest tennis shoes, Balvin surprises at the same time with sophisticated tailor suits depending on the occasion.

“My style is street but elegant too. I really like colors”, emphasizes the singer whose favorite designers are Hedi Slimane and Haider Ackerman, among others, and admires the style of stars like Pharrel Williams and Jared Leto.

What is your style key? According to him, not following rules. "Do what you want … enjoy. It is all a matter of attitude,”he says. “I can't wait to take a bath to start planning what the look of the day will be. That is the best part of the day."
