Since announcing her pregnancy in September, Adamari López has been more radiant than ever. The green-eyed girl - who hopes to give birth to her first-born Alaïa in March - tells us how she pampers and cares for herself during this beautiful stage.
To relax after a long day of work as a co-host of Un nuevo día (Telemundo), López goes to Biobell Oriental Med Spa, in Miami. "One of the best gifts someone can give me is to give me a massage," confesses the actress, who trusts the healing hands of Dr. Maribel Pedrozo, better known as the beauty alchemist.
"You cannot massage with anyone who does not know how to give a massage to someone who is expecting a baby because you cannot turn upside down and there are places where they cannot put pressure on you," says López, who underwent a massage for a report for Al rojo vivo (Telemundo). “I go with people who consent to me and who know. In addition to face treatments because I want to continue being flirtatious, continue feeling feminine and taking care of myself”.
Dr. Pedrozo acquiesces her with lymphatic drainage massages. “The aid for the elimination of toxins and water. This helps the person's immune system and the baby to adjust better, so that they can sleep better. It will help her to have more elasticity and to better support the moment of delivery. It is good for cramps,”says Pedrozo.
Of course, warns that pregnant women should be massaged by trained professionals. "There are certain areas of the body that should not be touched because they are points that, if pressed too hard, can increase contractions and accelerate the delivery process," she emphasizes.
Moms-to-be like Lopez can also get facials to keep their complexions healthy. "I recommend an oxygen facial or a grass-based detox facial," adds Pedrozo, whose spa is a sanctuary frequented by celebrities such as López, Rashel Díaz and Maritza Rodríguez.
In addition to caring for her skin with masks and creams, the 43-year-old mom has learned to highlight her curves during her pregnancy, when she has only gained about eight pounds. According to López, he has found the wardrobe he wears for the show at the Destination Maternity store.
"I try to find things that favor me," she adds. “You don't have to look like a bag of potatoes when you're pregnant. On the contrary, it is necessary to highlight the beauty of pregnancy, the belly and other parts of the body. Find something that looks delicate and flattering for my height."
Designer Gustavo Arango has also created several dresses for you. "Gustavo has an art, she continues to complement the female figure regardless of whether you are pregnant or overweight," says López, who shows that expecting moms don't have to lose their flirtation or sex appeal.
