Jessica Simpson was a mother for the second time this Sunday.
The 32-year-old singer and fashion businesswoman and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their son Ace Knute Johnson this Sunday, June 30, as confirmed by his representative to People. The boy's middle name pays tribute to Eric's Swedish grandfather, the representative explained.
Little Ace joins his sister Maxwell Drew, who celebrated his first birthday on May 1.
Simpson had planned to keep the sex of her second child a secret, she missed the news herself during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's show last March. After that, she herself told People that she was excited about the idea of adding a child to the family.
"I am so glad that I am having a child," she said in April. “I had no male siblings (he has a sister, Ashlee) so I like the idea of the unknown. I already want to have that connection with our little man.”
During her Christmas holidays late last year, Simpson confirmed the news of her second pregnancy via Twitter, when she shared this cute image of her little daughter Maxwell sitting next to the words “BIG SIS” (“big sister”) written on the sand.
