After three decades forming part of successful Televisa soap operas such as Alborada (2005), Las tontas no va al cielo (2008), Zacatillo a place in your heart (2010) and Por ella soy Eva (2012), where she played Antonia Reyes, an overweight woman who suffered the betrayal and cheating of her husband Plutarco Ramos (Marcelo Córdoba), Christina Pastor made the drastic decision a few years ago to withdraw definitively from the world of acting.
"They paid me a little bit and gave me courage," said the Mexican actress through her social networks. "It was not financially convenient for me to continue being an actress […] Every time I went with an executive it was [for] them to tell me that I had not worked enough, that I needed to do almost 100% of chapters of a soap opera so that I they could pay a little more. And I said "but it is not up to me," that is, no way that I will strike in the hall of Televisa. Each project was to start from scratch, even if you had 5, 7, 8 novels with popularity or without popularity ”.
Pastor shared that, despite having worked many years on successful soap operas of the Mexican company, they never offered him an exclusive contract.
“The executives have always lacked my work. They always told me that I had to work more, if possible I would create another 15 more years and that's why just after I am Eva I decided to make my life,”said the 41-year-old interpreter. “I also wanted to get married and have a family and I saw that I didn't have a future there. Although it did make me very popular. Because of her, I am Eva financially, the medium did not suit me.
The actress, who last appeared in a soap opera in 2014 with How Poor So Rich, has spent five years residing in the state of New Jersey with her husband and children.
“I got married and adopted 3 kids who already lived in NJ. It was easier for me to move, she said of the reason that led her to leave behind her native Mexico to settle in the United States.
Completely removed from television and recording forums, Pastor currently has his own transportation company, Woman to Woman Driving Service, in the United States. And among her plans is not to be part of the cast of a series or soap opera again.
"I no longer plan to go out on the small screen, if anything I do on YouTube," he made clear.
