The story of Catalina Santana, the young woman who by ambition ended up entering the world of prostitution and who life gave her the opportunity to guide her course years later and ended up working for the DEA, would have her days numbered.
The soap opera that has starred since 2008 the Colombian Carmen Villalobos, and that now, a decade later, is known as The End of Paradise, would be a few chapters away from saying goodbye forever to the public that has followed her during all these years.
The Spanish-language network began announcing this week with hype that this season that is currently on the air in its culminating stage on Telemundo will be 'the last'.
“This is the last season of The End of Paradise and it is time to face reality. Don't miss your favorite series Monday through Friday at 9 / 8C on Telemundo,”it was reported.
The unexpected announcement, as it was seen to come, took everyone by surprise.
"Noooooo, why the last one?" Asked a viewer through Instagram.
The last? So is there not going to be more or is it going to be the last season but with more seasons?
What does not seem to be very clear is whether The End of Paradise will mark the end of the successful saga that Villalobos has been leading since 2008 or will it be the last season of history as we know it until now and fiction will retry itself.
People en Español contacted Telemundo to dispel doubts but to date we have not received a response.
For now, the last chapter of The End of Paradise will air on December 9.
