Ana Julia Quezada, the woman of Dominican origin and the confessed murderer of the 8-year- old Gabriel Cruz, shakes public opinion again. In a letter sent to the parents of the creature, the 45-year-old woman has assured that her death was "an accident."

Held since March 16 in a prison in Almería, in southern Spain, Quezada sent the letter to the popular Ana Rosa program on the national Telecinco network, hoping that the message would reach the ears of the boy's devastated parents, to whom he apologized for what happened.

"[Gabriel's death] was an accident and I will always say it because it is the truth. I was very scared, fear blocks you and I acted like this,”wrote the woman who has resided in the Motherland for decades. "I was not strong enough to tell my partner, anyone, what had happened and, little by little, I was getting into a bigger and bigger ball."

Quezada also asked for mercy, before the attacks he says he suffered after his arrest and after videos of the burning of a black doll made in his likeness emerged on networks.

"I am black, I committed a crime without meaning to, all I ask is that I be tried and treated as I have to be treated in this situation," she implored.

On February 27, the boy was reported missing, whom they affectionately called “Pescadito”. From that moment, Ángel Cruz, father of the child and partner of the alleged murderer, and the woman began to grab headlines in search of the child. In multiple videos and interviews, the tearful couple was seen asking for help to locate the minor who had disappeared from his grandmother's house when he was going to play with some friends.

Later, thanks to a local police strategy, the Dominican woman was caught red-handed, extracting the boy's remains from a farm where she had buried them. The autopsy revealed that Gabriel had been beaten and strangled.

But another part, sources in Spain reported that within the next 10 days there could be a confrontation between the alleged murderer and the victim's parents, something that has already been rejected by the parents' lawyers.
