Dove Accused Of Racist For This Ad

The last commercial that Dove broadcast on his social networks, fired strong criticism against this brand of personal hygiene products to the point of placing it in an image crisis.

Dove's message was that, using his novel product, his user's skin would be radically and effectively lightened, a message that was quickly received as an indication of racism.

Multiple consumers are expressing their displeasure under the hashtag #BoycottDove. "Dear Dove, go throw your useless products in the nearest white supreme trench," said a user identified as Bongi_102.

While another call Terri Sue, wrote: "I already spoke with my lawyer, to sue Dove because I have never become white after using his product." And one registered as Portice Conkey stated: “If our skin color is not good enough, neither is our money. I will never buy Dove again.”

On Saturday, Dove apologized via Facebook, saying he "deeply regretted" the offense. But apparently, the public was unwilling to overlook that offense. "Please do not buy @Dove products," replied @Tndava: "We cannot allow ourselves to be humiliated by this company and later (receive) apologies for its racist announcement." The crisis seems to continue.
