Perhaps the only thing that could be more chilling than a shark attack is capturing it on video. This is the case of a fisherman in Australia, who never imagined that one of his many trips to the ocean would become one of the most terrifying moments he has experienced on the high seas.

In a clip recorded by Danny Henricks, the protagonist of the story, the exact moment in which the animal clothed him from the bottom of the water was recorded, apparently without any motivation and swimming towards him with impressive speed.

Immediately, perhaps instinctively, Henricks uses his harpoon as a shield against the attack, leaving it inserted into the shark's mouth. Then, a cloud of blood is seen to emanate, at the same time that the great fish tries to get rid of the weapon that it carries embedded.

"Definitely the next time I dive I will do it accompanied by someone," said the 35-year-old fisherman in an interview about the incident, as reported by the ABC News online site.

The shocking video was shared by the Liquid Vision video channel last Sunday, since then it has gone viral on social networks. On YouTube alone, the clip has reached nearly two million views, and more than 2,400 people have commented on it.

In fact, one of the most popular items is the testimony of an internet user identified as Richard Parkinson, who reveals that he was also the victim of a similar attack, but without the fortune of having had a weapon in his hand.

The same thing happened to me four years ago, only I didn't have a harpoon, so I was bitten in the calf … Today I can walk and dive almost normally. Never underestimate a shark, they are unpredictable and wild animals,”reads part of Parkinson's story.
